Titanium Alloys

• Used for its high corrosion resistance
• Limited by its expensive nature

General properties:

• Density: 4.51 g/cm${}^3$
• Melting temperature: 1668$°$C
• High specific stiffness and strength
• High corrosion and oxidation resistance
• Bio-compatible

Refractory metals

• Metals with melting point > 2000$°$C
• Can only be produced by powder sintering
• Examples: tungsten (W), molybdenum (Mo), Niobium (Nb), Tantalum (Ta), Rhenium (Re)
