Write a verse of lyrics (between 4 - 8 lines) that uses at least 3 examples of visually descriptive lyrics, and tell us which Rhyming Pattern you have used.

For example: a street name, a building and it’s features, a particular car, facial features or clothes of a character in the song, the kind of day/night in which the story takes place… etc

Note, the story itself can be whatever you like, even if there isn’t much to it. It could be simply about you walking down the street for no reason, this is purely an exercise implementing visually descriptive lyrics to paint a picture with words.

Submit as a post in this thread, and comment on at least 2 other students’ work.

  • Maybe using Voracity as a symbol of always expecting more

All I ever wanted was to break past that line
But nothing really matters in those sunken, bloodshot eyes

Lock me away in the dark, cause your ripping out my heart

Take it out on me
Feed your voracity

Your throat so dry from all the screaming you did
Keep complaining like your back is against the wall
With tears running down your face, don’t point that finger back at me
Spewing out those lies and hypocrisy

Just keep those sunken eyes away, and point that gaze towards the floor
Cause don’t pretend you looked at me before

Lyrics Brainstorm: (With Rohan, Swara and Aaron)

Tell me why,
Are you chasing me,
I don’t wanna run anymore

All these fucking hollow lies,
I’ve been thinking,
Your the same as before
